Memorial Hospital | Antalya

Proceed with caution: you may not be admitted here. I am a tourist and visited this hospital because my doctor back home suspected I had appendicitis. I chose this facility based on its positive reviews and the expectation of English fluency. At emergency admission, the staff’s English was not proficient enough to even ask about my symptoms - and never got asked for them. Relying entirely on a translation app they asked for my insurance details. Eventually, they told me they did not have a partnership with my provider (a major Swiss insurance company). My insurance hotline later confirmed that I should not have been rejected and that this refusal was highly unusual. In a potential emergency requiring timely treatment, I felt I was treated with a complete lack of professionalism.

Our 7 month old son contracted RSV and bacterial pneumonia and we got admitted to this hospital and I honestly cannot thank the Dr’s, Nurses, interpreters and all the staff they went above and beyond to look after our son and make me and my partner as comfortable and reassured as possible. We were informed about his treatment every step of the way and at no point did we not feel like we understood what was happening, within 15 mins of arriving he had been seen by a doctor, X-rays, scans and was in a private room, we were allowed to both stay we were provided with 3 really good meals a day each. The hospital is spotless, safe and honestly it’s like a 5 star hotel. All this just takes a weight off a terribly stressful situation. We are British and at no point were we made to think we were not welcome, all the staff were patient when using a translator that was there on hand whenever we required and she was a lovely lady, she escorted me to the pharmacy in Antalya to explain the medication that was prescribed for us to leave. Honestly I would never ever go to another hospital. The treatment was 100% what our son needed to get him better, I trusted the staff impeccably. Me and my partner and our Son Blaze cannot thank you all enough for what you have done. At the worst point in our lives so far you were all there to help and that is just priceless. We will forever be grateful.

I’ve never felt more welcome in a hospital than at Memorial Hastanesi. I was quite surprised by how professional the staff is. It’s one of the first hospitals I’ve visited in Türkiye where the staff really speaks English, even better than me. You can truly trust yourself in their care. If you are a tourist planning to have surgery there, you can peacefully place yourself in their hands—they will take amazing care of you.

I went to this clinic with kidney stone issues in 2024, saw a urologist. I was then sent to do an ultrasound as part of series of tests. The ultrasound technician didn’t event spend 2 minutes with me, did his job quickly and left as quickly as he came in. He clearly couldn’t care less. His ultrasound results missed the stone, so I was left with mystery and a resulting wrong diagnosis. I had to go to a different clinic, where I was handled with much more patience, the technician clearly cared about their job and was able to identify the problems, and helped to accurately diagnose the issue, unlike the technician at Memorial. It’s disappointing to receive this level of care at a private clinic.
