We were on vacation in Kemer, and our daughter, Paula, had a febrile seizure one of the last nights we were there. After receiving treatment at Yasam Hastanasi Kemer and Lara/Antalya hospitals, she was transferred to Dr. Ali Ahrabi and his team in the pediatric intensive care unit at this hospital. After just a few days, she quickly began to feel better and was moved back to the general ward. We would like to thank everyone involved—all the doctors, nurses, and our interpreters. You did a fantastic job! Special the team from the pediatric intensive care unit. Thank you 😊

We’ve been at this hospital for the past five days for my dad’s treatment, and overall, it’s been a very good experience. The quality of service is excellent, the staff are incredibly patient and attentive, and the cleanliness of the environment is impressive. The meal service is always on time, and the food quality is surprisingly good – better than you’d expect for a hospital. They also provide a folding bed for attendants, which is thoughtful, but it could definitely be improved. It’s quite hard to unfold, and we had to ask the nurses for help, but they were very kind about it. The doctors have been very polite and punctual during their daily visits, which we really appreciated. On top of that, I learned from my brother that his twins were in the intensive care unit here for a month after they were born. He spoke highly of the experience, mentioning the frequent, detailed updates about their babies. The twins are doing great now, and it’s comforting to know how well they were cared for. 🙏 The location of the hospital is good, but getting there can be tricky because of heavy traffic and a lack of traffic lights. Driving here is an adventure – Turkish drivers can be a bit creative, so stay alert, especially if someone decides to overtake you on a slow-moving one-way road. 🙂 Overall, the hospital is very clean, well-organized, and has a cosy atmosphere. The modern equipment, great staff, and good food make it an excellent choice for care, despite the traffic challenges. Highly recommend it if you’re in need of medical services.

Mixed feelings . Unsure how to describe . First of all ; it looks like there is the right people in the right places . Nurses seem to understand the patients needs .. doctors look qualified to handle their department .. (Doctor Ali and nurse Gül and Fatma thank you) hygiene and capacity seem to be up to standard however , there is 2 major malfunctions in this hospital that requires improvement . Communication and procedures We had our Baby born trough (emergency) c-section . Father and medical team mutually agreed on this procedure for babies safety . What happened after is what disturbed me the most . We had our baby on Thursday night . We had specific whishes for our baby not to be washed and to have at least skin contact after birth. Nobody was up to date . Our Baby got transferred to the NICU without our knowledge . Injections were admitted , feeding tubes were installed and without knowing were our newborn son was , we couldn’t see anybody until the Saturday morning to get any information. As father I was allowed (yes i had to ask permission) to see my son. My wife still unable to go to toilet herself was dismissed 20 hours after c-section and was denied any acces to the NICU . We tried so many ways to see the right people , but department seem to work alongside each other. No one knew when .. no one knew why.. we finally got hold of the doctor as he would call us back for some info on Saturday . My wife on the couch crying her lungs out because she missed everything at birth . She lived for this phone call . They never called. on Monday we decided to sleep in front of the door of the NICU as to speak to anybody who would know anything .. finally at 11:30 we spoke the doctor hastily about our sons condition. He was okay he just needs time . After 5 days of intense waiting , nagged calling , finding our way in .. we finally were (ALLOWED) to see our son for more than 20 seconds . And even breastfeed . He latched on immediately. No problem. we just didn’t have a choice .. we didn’t have any info . We didn’t have any point of contact . We didn’t have any hope after birth .. what was supposed to be a wonderful amazing experience got turned into an excruciating hopeless waiting game in which we were juggled between fear/scare and neglect . We also felt he was hold for way too long as the government is paying for all c-section NICU cases . As per standard procedure , ALL babies are kept in there for at least a week to keep the commercial value high. Dear hospital managers , go to Denmark , Holland , France .. anywhere but Turkey and please see how it’s done . Parents can stay 24-7 with their child , they get camera access to their crib .. they get choices .. father gets to stay during c-section .. nurses are allowed to share all kinds of info. You are running departments along side each other with extremely old procedures with mostly finances in foresight. PLEASE improve communication and procedures PLEASE go check out how things are done in other countries. For parents from new born babies this was the worst 7 days of my life.
