Excellent service at Medicana Hospital. Everything was handled efficiently, and the staff were professional. I would especially like to thank Hana, the translator, for her great support. She helped coordinate with the doctor, insurance, and appointments, which made a big difference. Highly recommended.

Special shoutout to Irem, my translator, she was really nice & warm yet still very professional. Easy to talk to and made everything so easy for me. Really recommend her if you're a non-Turkish speaker!

Medicana Overcharging Experience – Please Be Careful (Especially Foreigners) I’m sharing this to warn both foreigners and Turkish citizens living abroad about my experience at Medicana Hospital (İzmir). On 20 November 2025, I was charged 34,470 TL for routine blood tests. The same tests usually cost around 6,000–7,000 TL in Turkey. Several specific tests I explicitly requested (including mould panel, allergy panel, histamine-DAO, ENA, etc.) were not performed, yet I was charged as if they were included in a package. I later had to repeat these tests at an independent laboratory. I’m posting this so others can avoid a similar situation. My advice before visiting any private hospital in Turkey: Ask for a written price list Request a written list of tests before proceeding Do not approve anything unless you fully understand the costs Compare prices with other hospitals or labs Transparency is essential, especially for patients who are unfamiliar with the local healthcare pricing system.

Very good experience in gastroenterology service with professor Dr Ahmet Yekta and his team. Professional aproch and special attention. Everything was perfect ! The permanent presence of dedicated translator was very helpful for me. I truly recommend! Thanks you!
