Andaç AYKAN

I am writing a review so that others may benefit from learning further about my septo-rhinoplasty experience organised and orchestrated by Dr Andaç Aykan and his team. I am from the UK originally but lived in Turkey for nine years previously. I was fully aware of the scale of the health tourism sector, but did not know where to start looking when considering surgery options in Istanbul. Having exhausted UK package possibilities (I did not feel comfortable knowing that some surgeons are performing multiple surgeries in a day, the incessant ‘special offers,’ and the mixed results.) By word of mouth and recommendation I heard of Dr. Aykan, having had several previous in-person consultations. In my case I was not looking for a drastic change in my appearance and my main aim was to find a surgeon able to proceed without artistic license! Keeping in mind, I am a person who does not like change and whom struggles even with hairstyle differences. The combined recommendation, reviews, clinic, technology, Doctor and team made my decision very easy. Where other Doctors had sketched or tried to explain expected changes to my nose incoherently, Dr Aykan used 3D vectra imaging to portray an expected result, using the angles of my face to develop a nose with the best fit for my face and other features. Furthermore, after assessing my nose internally (whilst showing me onscreen) he provided a ready printed document and was able to illustrate how my septum deviated and necessary structural changes to allow me to breathe more freely. Dr Aykan speaks perfect English and was able to articulate and address all of my concerns - of which I had a list of questions to resolve. I had not anticipated my peak in anxiety the day before and day of the surgery and I felt that this was completely understood and acknowledged. I felt that Dr Aykan offset my anxiety and nerves through his calm, steadfast and intellectual demeanour. Overall I can say instinctively that I felt that Dr. Aykan would not do me a disservice and I felt throughout the process that I was able to trust fully in the Doctor to achieve the result I had requested. When I had any doubts in the months before the surgery, I always returned to the position that, ‘this is the surgeon who can execute the optimal result.’ On the day of the surgery, everything went smoothly and I woke up to the sound of Şevval’s voice (the Dr’s Assistant), who expressed that everything had gone well. I later saw the Doctor in the hospital room and was able to share that my breathing was much improved, even as of Day 1! The hospital room itself was really lovely and my boyfriend was able to stay next to me on a fold out sofa. The nurses were incredible and throughout the night attentively put ice on my eyes every one hour. I was not able to express my immense gratitude easily after the surgery but they really impressed me and made a huge difference to the overall experience and in my speedy recovery - whereby I happened to have a deficit of bruising and only a minimal 3 days of discomfort. Fast forward to the result and I could not be happier. Leaving the clinic I have already fully accepted my new nose and can really see how it has enhanced my appearance. I am also benefiting from the real results of the septoplasty, in every breath I take. I am excited to see the results transform and become even more outstanding in the upcoming few months, once swelling reduces. I am looking forward to future engagements when photos will showcase the true artistry of Dr Aykan and when my confidence will be boosted by this stunning, understated and natural minor modification to my look. My Experience with Aykan Clinic and My Struggle After Endoscopic Temporal Lift Surgery 🚨I want to share my personal experience with Aykan, specifically regarding my Endoscopic Temporal Lift surgery, which I underwent on 12.02.2024. paying €7,000 for the surgery plus an additional €1,400 for hotel accommodation. Despite the high cost, I’ve been left with ongoing complications, including facial twitching and discomfort, which I believe are related to the surgery. This post is not meant to attack anyone, but rather to share the reality of my experience and the complications I’ve faced. 🚨The Surgery: What Happened I chose Aykan Clinic because I trusted their reputation and the experience of Dr. Aykan. I underwent the Endoscopic Temporal Lift surgery, which includes a forehead lift, brow lift, chantopexy, and midface lift. At the time, I was healthy and had no previous facial issues. The surgery itself went smoothly, and I was assured that everything was performed meticulously. However, after the procedure, I began to experience complications that weren’t properly addressed or explained. 🚨The Complications: What Went Wrong Over time, I noticed that my left side facial twitch started and didn’t stop. I also began feeling pain on my forehead and experienced an imbalance in the activity between my right and left facial sides. I consulted multiple specialists and underwent treatments such as physiotherapy, supplements, Botox injections, and other methods, but none of them worked to alleviate my symptoms. Despite my ongoing concerns, I was continuously reassured by the clinic that these complications couldn’t be related to the surgery because of the time gap between the procedure and the onset of the issues. However, I have since learned from neurologists and other patients that complications like mine can occur after this type of surgery, even if it takes months to present itself. 🚨The Communication: My Frustration I want to emphasize that I’ve never felt that my concerns were truly heard or understood. The clinic’s response was often to reassure me that everything was normal and that my symptoms were unrelated to the surgery. I felt like my experiences were being minimized, and it’s been deeply frustrating. Instead of actively working toward a solution, I was often told that the complications were due to factors unrelated to the surgery, and when I expressed my desire for help, the response was often an invitation to travel to Istanbul at my own expense, without offering real assistance in addressing the issue. 🚨The Impact: How It’s Affected Me This ongoing issue has taken a serious toll on my emotional well-being. I trusted the clinic and believed that I would receive the help I needed. Instead, I’ve been left feeling hopeless, in pain, and with no meaningful resolution. I regret my decision to undergo this surgery and feel that I’ve been left to deal with the aftermath on my own. I believe it’s important for people to know that complications like mine can occur after these kinds of surgeries, and they may not always present themselves immediately. If you are considering this procedure, please be fully informed and consider the potential risks, both short-term and long-term. 🚨My Advice to Others What’s most frustrating is that, after paying a significant amount of money, I haven’t received the support or resolution I need. I deeply regret choosing this clinic and am left with no answers after months of struggle. I hope my experience helps others make a more informed decision, especially when it comes to such a costly procedure. ‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️Update 28.02.2025. The clinic has responded, but they continue to dismiss my concerns and shift blame rather than taking accountability. They also claim to have followed up, yet I have not heard from them since November. 🚨🚨🚨🚨You should be extremely careful when responding to a patient, especially in this manner. Dismissing legitimate concerns by suggesting a psychiatric evaluation is both unprofessional and offensive. A responsible clinic finds solutions, not excuses.

Mr Aykan Is an amazing surgeon, Very articulate, and honest, And most important he makes you feel comfortable, and very easy to discuss the results of the procedure. There is no language barrier as Mr Aykan speaks excellent English, All the staff are very attentive and caring. They have staff to translate many languages from around world. I would highly recommend this clinic, If you want surgery that is attention to detail.

I underwent rhinoplasty surgery at Dr. Aykan’s clinic a little over two months ago, and I would like to share my experience of the entire process. From the very beginning, everything went smoothly. I was provided with all the necessary information in both written and verbal forms, and all my questions were answered comprehensively. It was even suggested that I could arrange a call with a nurse if I had any additional questions or concerns. All communication was conducted online since I traveled from Poland for the surgery. Dr. Aykan and his team made a great impression. I had a personal consultation with Dr. Aykan to express my wishes and discuss any concerns, which helped me feel confident about the procedure. After the surgery, I was consistently in touch with a clinic staff member, Şevval, who supported me and promptly answered all my questions. Before the cast was removed from my nose, I visited the clinic three times for examinations and cleaning. Each time, Dr. Aykan personally checked on me to ensure everything was progressing well, which was very reassuring, especially as this was my first-ever surgery. I returned home on the 12th day after surgery. My recovery went smoothly, without any complications. Even after I returned home, the clinic maintained regular contact to follow up on my progress. Now, two months after the surgery, I am extremely satisfied with the results. I feel great, and my nose looks amazing. I wholeheartedly recommend this clinic to anyone planning to undergo rhinoplasty and looking for professionalism combined with a caring approach.

It's been three months since my surgery, and I am very satisfied with the results. The outcome is exactly as discussed during the pre-surgery consultation. I have very sensitive skin, and normally scars would remain, but after three months, the stitches on my face are no longer visible. I am very grateful for the doctor's kindness and support, and his nurse has been available to assist me at any time, day or night. Thank you 🌹
