I have been having dental issues for a while due to the repercussions of Esophagitis due to the NHS delaying treatment. However, I was dubious about having my teeth done while on holiday in Turkey due to the fact it wasn’t in the UK. I was suffering with bleeding gums, extremely bad breath from gum necrosis, yellowing of teeth and a cavity. I reached out via WhatsApp where I was greeted by Molly, who dealt with everything efficiently without any stress. She helped through the whole process, answering any queries I had immediately. Dt. Nefibe Ayla and her assistant performed the above procedures without any fault or pain. She was very attentive by telling me step by step what was going to happen, which reassured me and eased my nervousness. I can’t recommend her enough! I am so happy with both the results and the service Acibadem has to offer. I got emotional, because I now have a bright smile that isn’t accompanied by bad smelling breath. I will be back!

My dad says he’s never seen a hospital this beautiful or this well staffed. Everybody is kind and thoughtful and very accommodating. From the moment of arrival and evaluation by Serdar Tekçe, I knew my dad was in good hands. A special thank you to my friend Melis Selçuk for guiding us to this hospital when my father was in need! Everyone involved in his care from start to finish helped to save his life and I couldn’t be more grateful.

Unfortunately, due to a severe allergic reaction, I ended up in their hospital during my vacation, but after I refused to keep me, they released me without any therapy and even gave me a code for a disease that my insurance refused. The dermatologist didn't even examine me. Big disappointment, ruined vacation and I paid for a doctor's examination to spend the next 4 days in my room until the end of the vacation. It doesn't matter if they charge you or your insurance.

While on a cruise, I became ill with kidney stones and was told by the ship’s doctor after taking an Xray that they were too large to pass. He informed me that I would need to go to the local hospital and have a procedure to remove them. The ship’s staff arranged for an ambulance to transport me to what I thought was the hospital emergency room. I found out later it was more like an Urgent Care facility. While at this facility I was given a CT Scan and two ultrasounds that confirmed the stones were too large to pass and I would need to have them removed surgically. During my stay at this facility, I was given pain medication that gave me little relief for a short time before wearing off. When I asked for stronger medication, I was told that was the strongest they had. Meanwhile I found myself getting on my hands and knees on the floor vomiting into a trash can due to the severe pain. The medical staff did not come into my room to check on me unless my wife went out into the hall to find someone and try to communicate that I was in pain. Communication was difficult since most of them did not speak English, and we do not speak Turkish. We were given papers to sign that were all in Turkish and told that it was regarding their government provided medical care and since we were not Turkish citizens it was waving that care. We had no choice but to believe them and sign. We did occasionally have an interpreter that would come into my room; however, it seemed like his sole purpose was to get as much money from us as he could. I was kept at this facility for almost 8 hours while in severe pain because they demanded $36,000 US dollars before they would do the procedure. This interpreter came into my room multiple times demanding payment. We told him that we did not have access to that kind of money while on vacation in another country on a Sunday. His response was to charge it on our credit card. We informed him that we do not have a credit limit that high and could not do that. We explained that we have Blue Cross and Blue Shield health insurance and that we checked before our trip that it was a global policy, and his response was that they did not have an agreement with them. He just stood there looking at us and waiting for the payment. We then informed him that we also had a trip insurance plan for $20,000 and that we were working with them to see what needed to be done to get them those funds. After going back and forth multiple times and having him change the amount of “deposit” they would accept, we finally came to an agreement that they would take an agreement letter from our travel insurance company of $20,000 and an additional $6,000 from us personally. At that point we charged the $6,000 on our credit card and assumed they would proceed with the medical treatment. It was then that we realized we were not at a hospital and that they were calling the ambulance again to transport me to the hospital. To say the least, this was a terrifying and unnecessary experience. We were afraid and felt helpless and captive. They knew that I needed medical care and that they could demand anything they wanted.

Easy parking and access, with great staff and services. I saw the doctor and had surgery next day and follow up several days later and all went very smoothly.
